How do I delete my account?
In the iPhone app, open the You tab, tap Settings, then Delete account. The page lists what goes and what stays, then asks you once more.
It deletes your account, your profile and photo, and every message and photo you sent, in every chat. Chats with other people keep going without you. If you use the Android test app, or can't sign in, email us from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.
Deleting your account doesn't cancel an Apple subscription, so cancel that first. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what's deleted.
How do plans work?
A plan is how many messages Muse Spark reads for you each day: Free 150, Plus 400 and Pro 1,000. Pro also reads your catch-up aloud in your phone's own voice.
- A catch-up counts the unread messages it reads, and a question counts the messages it searches. Every catch-up or question counts at least 10.
- A catch-up you already have costs nothing, and one that fails gives its messages back.
- The count resets at midnight Mountain Time. Settings shows how many you've used today.
How do I cancel, or get a refund?
Plus and Pro are monthly subscriptions through Apple. To cancel on your iPhone, open the Settings app, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, then pick Cetchup. Your plan lasts until the end of the period you've paid for, then you're back on Free.
Apple handles refunds. Ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel a subscription. If you switched phones, tap Restore purchases on the plans screen.
What does Muse Spark see?
Only what a catch-up or question needs, and nothing before you've said yes once:
- For a catch-up, the messages you haven't read, plus up to 25 earlier ones for context.
- For a question, your question and up to the chat's 800 most recent messages.
- The names of the people in the chat, your name, your time zone, and up to 6 recent photos from those messages.
It never gets your email or your account ID, and it never reads messages from people you've blocked. Cetchup uses Meta's Standard mode, which Meta doesn't train its AI on. On Plus and Pro, opening a chat with 15 or more unread messages starts its catch-up in the background, so it's ready when you tap.
How do the Instagram and Snapchat catch-ups work?
On iPhone, open the Instagram or Snapchat tab, sign in on their own page, and open a chat. Tap the ketchup drop and pick how many messages to read. Cetchup reads only that chat, only when you tap, and never sees your password. The catch-up stays on your phone, and our server doesn't keep the messages.
To sign out of either one in Cetchup, open Settings and use its sign-out row. Your Instagram or Snapchat account itself isn't touched.
How do I block or report someone?
Tap their name or photo in a chat to open their profile, then tap Block or Report. To report one message, long press it. They aren't told, and they won't know it was you. When you block someone, Muse Spark stops reading their messages for your catch-ups too.
How do I take back my yes for Muse Spark?
Email us from the address on your account. We'll remove it, and the app will ask again before it sends anything to Muse Spark.
